I’m a freelance writer and editor covering health, wellness, personal finance, social justice, and more. I received my degree in journalism with dual minors in Spanish and women’s studies in 2009 from Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. I am a former copy editor and staff writer of the Houston Chronicle. My work has also appeared in Runner’s World, Women’s Health, SELF, Prevention, LendingTree, Healthline and POPSUGAR, among other publications. I am also a marathoner, avid amateur baker, and frequent traveler. I live in my hometown of Houston with my husband, Omar, and Boston Terrier rescue, Astro.
